Let Evening Come by Jane Kenyon

In the six paragraphs, the author talk about the moment of the twilight. Because the sun goes down in first paragraph, and cricket started chirpping in second paragraph. I cab feel the autom atmosphere from these paragraphs.

By the way, it is distinctive feature on this poem that the every paragraph begin with the word of "Let" besides fifth one. Also the length is organized and each paragraph has common phrases.

In second and third paragrah, prosopopeia is used and in the last paragraph, I figure out that the word of evening is not meaning of just night, but something else.

Let it com, as it wil, and don't
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.

This paragraph makes me anticipate that some saddness or hard time is comming like as evening.

Why Can't I Leave You? Written by AI

This poet's atmosphere is dark from biggining throught the end, and it talk about relationship with man and woman. The point of view is woman and she cannot leave her partner even she decided to separete from him more than once. But she abandoned her dicition and made the reason to stay here.
From second paragraph, the phisical discribing begin. I guess that actually she has felt conflicting between fear and discontent. She doesn't want to lose relationship but she doesn't want to continue such a cheep relationship any more.

First Snow by Mary Olover

I decided to read this poetry because of this title.
I prefer to watch snowing from window.
In this poem, the atmosphere of snowing is descrived very tranqually and gentle words.

I was impressed by the phrases of

"The snow
began here
this morning and all day
continued, its white
rhetoric everywhere"

and

"the silence
is immence,
and the heavens still hold
a million candles; nowhere
the familiar things:
stars, the moon,
the darkness we expect
and nightly turn from."

In first phrase, it gave me good sense of imargination of snowing.
Also the word "rhetoric" is beautiful to represent mysterious snowing sight.

In second one, without the word "silence", I could hear the serenity night after snowing.

Through the whole this poet, I had have a transparent world.

Girl Powdering Her Neck

The centering of this poem is one picture, which is drawn by Utamaro (one of most famous Japanese Ukiyo-e artist in Edo era).

The poem started with discription of the room, then the women came up.
I really prefer first paragraph of this poem.

"The light is the inside
sheen of an oyster shell,
sponged with talc and vapor,
moisture from a bath."

This room full fill with atmosphere of life, but also it has tranquility.
Everythings of this room is keeping quiet and staying except woman.
Contrasted with colores of  her hair and skin, the peach-dyed kimono is impressing.
Each sentence describe to try explain everything which author could watch form this picture,
even he could not see.
