In the TV show of Sherlock Holmes, there are several feature differences between old TV show and new one. I watched Jeremy Brett’s Holmes produced by Granada TV and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Holmes produced by PBS. It is said that Jeremy’s Holmes is the best work of embodiment of the original image. Of course the latest TV show uses high-quality of functions to take the scenes, different scenario (because whole story use modern technology), and current London as a stage. Therefore, my question is “can we say that Sherlock Holmes of the PBS TV show is Sherlock Holmes?”

At Night by Jane Hirshfield
The author talks about one of the night.
This night was mysterious so he said
"you will find the pale circles of snow
pushed aside, earth opening
its single, steadfast gaze:
towards stars ticking by, one by one, overhead,
the given world flaming precisely out of its frame."
From the description of "snow", it is a winter night.
I think winter night is mysterious. Cold and still and
under this circumstance, we can say that
"it is best
to focus your eyes
a little off to one side;
it is better to know things
drained of their color, to fathom
the black horses cropping
at winter grass,
their white jaws that move
in steady rotation, a sweet sound."
Winter night is very sweet because you can feel
everything around you.

Poem "The Sound" by Kim Addonizio
This poem talk about mind and attitude from love.
"Marc Says the suffering that we don't see
still makes a sort of sound - a subtle, soft
noise, nothing like the cries or screams that we
might think of - more the slight scrape of a hat doffed
by a quiet man, ignored as he stands back
to let a lovely woman pass, her dress
just brushing his coat."
Marc might be lovely girl's boyfriend, and he is so quiet that he says
"the suffering that we don't see still makes a sort of sound".
But it is same as his girlfriend.
They are nervous each other.
"Or else it's like a crack
in an old foundation, slowly widening, the stress
and slippage going on unnoticed by
the family upstairs, the daughter leaving
for a date, her mother's resigned sigh
when she sees her. It's like the heaving
of a stone into a lake, before it drops.
It's shy, it's barely there. It never stops."
After came back from date, her mother sighed
and the girl's hart reflected like "the heaving
of a stone into a lake, before it drops."
She was shy, and her hart was couldn't flee from the sound.

Let Evening Come by Jane Kenyon
In the six paragraphs, the author talk about the moment of the twilight. Because the sun goes down in first paragraph, and cricket started chirpping in second paragraph. I cab feel the autom atmosphere from these paragraphs.
By the way, it is distinctive feature on this poem that the every paragraph begin with the word of "Let" besides fifth one. Also the length is organized and each paragraph has common phrases.
In second and third paragrah, prosopopeia is used and in the last paragraph, I figure out that the word of evening is not meaning of just night, but something else.
Let it com, as it wil, and don't
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.
This paragraph makes me anticipate that some saddness or hard time is comming like as evening.

Why Can't I Leave You? Written by AI
This poet's atmosphere is dark from biggining throught the end, and it talk about relationship with man and woman. The point of view is woman and she cannot leave her partner even she decided to separete from him more than once. But she abandoned her dicition and made the reason to stay here.
From second paragraph, the phisical discribing begin. I guess that actually she has felt conflicting between fear and discontent. She doesn't want to lose relationship but she doesn't want to continue such a cheep relationship any more.

First Snow by Mary Olover
I decided to read this poetry because of this title.
I prefer to watch snowing from window.
In this poem, the atmosphere of snowing is descrived very tranqually and gentle words.
I was impressed by the phrases of
"The snow
began here
this morning and all day
continued, its white
rhetoric everywhere"
and
"the silence
is immence,
and the heavens still hold
a million candles; nowhere
the familiar things:
stars, the moon,
the darkness we expect
and nightly turn from."
In first phrase, it gave me good sense of imargination of snowing.
Also the word "rhetoric" is beautiful to represent mysterious snowing sight.
In second one, without the word "silence", I could hear the serenity night after snowing.
Through the whole this poet, I had have a transparent world.

Girl Powdering Her Neck
The centering of this poem is one picture, which is drawn by Utamaro (one of most famous Japanese Ukiyo-e artist in Edo era).
The poem started with discription of the room, then the women came up.
I really prefer first paragraph of this poem.
"The light is the inside
sheen of an oyster shell,
sponged with talc and vapor,
moisture from a bath."
This room full fill with atmosphere of life, but also it has tranquility.
Everythings of this room is keeping quiet and staying except woman.
Contrasted with colores of her hair and skin, the peach-dyed kimono is impressing.
Each sentence describe to try explain everything which author could watch form this picture,
even he could not see.
